THE HORIZONTAL RAIN POINTS THE WAY

There's a memorial ride tonight for the two cyclists killed this week. It's right after work, and won't take you out to Bayridge or anything. So swing by, ride with some friends, and show your support for those that dare to ride the two wheels. From Time's Up!:

MEMORIAL RIDE FOR TWO CYCLISTS KILLED THIS WEEK!
Carl Nacht, 56, was killed by an NYPD tow truck making a right turn across the Hudson River Greenway. Derek Lake, 23, was killed on Houston Street while trying to maneuver around a dangerous construction site. Come out and remember these two cyclists and help draw attention to unsafe conditions for New York cyclists. Please bring flowers.

Meet Thursday, June 29, 6:30 p.m. West Side Greenway at 46th Street (in front of the Intrepid). Details, stops, and time frame here.

MP3:

Here's a track from jangly fitful local boys Vic Thrill. Somewhat reminds me of Professor Murder, with less cowbell. They also happen to be playing an outdoor show on friday in Brooklyn. Worth checking out if you're not already planning on braving Don Hills to see Pixeltan.
