man, i am not good at selling things on ebay.

this is interesting, The Database of Corporate Commands.

so today is canadian day. here are two serious bands hailing from paradise on earth, vancouver b.c. both bands are on Jagjaguwar in the US. i was lucky enough to see The Pink Mountaintops play this summer in vancouver. almost-naked guys with tambourines are always a good time. Pink Mountaintops is really Stephen McBean, he reaches into the murk of Black Mountain to draw out some help executing his songs "conceived at dawn, while high on a mix of trucker speed and Red Bull, and while sailing down a Colorado highway on route to Denver as the last decent Floyd record played on the cassette deck." so, for obvious reasons, if you look closely you will notice some in-breeding between the two bands. and appropriately so, as both touch on the psychedelic side of intense rock.

that lil' music scene in vancouver is pretty intense. . . you have these two bands, plus other gems like S.T.R.E.E.T.S. (can't believe i haven't posted something of theirs yet), The Organ, Radio Berlin, and more. and again i have to ask myself, why don't i live there again? oh yeah, i'm not canadian (yet). hey Tegan & Sara, either of you guys looking for a green card? i can clean and build stuff, really.

• Black Mountain - Druganaut

• The Pink Mountaintops - Rock 'n Roll Fantasy
